Saving Your Images with Transparent Background

This tip will show you how to save your image with a transparent background.   At the moment, there is a bug when saving with transparency, but you can use this work around until it's fixed.

First, if you have created your image on a white background, you will need to switch it to a transparent background before exporting.  To do this, on the top toolbar, select Document Setup.

Click the Color box, then tick the Transparency Background box. OK.

Select the objects you want to save. You can drag a box around the objects or pick a single one. A blue bounding box will show your selections.

Now, you're ready to save the image.  Go to File\Export.  On the export screen, select PNG.  From the Area dropdown window, choose Selection Without Background.

Before saving, you can change the file size if you wish.  You only need to change one value. The lock will cause the other one to automatically adjust.

When you're ready, click the Export button.
