Beads on a Path

This little tip comes to us from Teejay.

The question posed was, how can one put little beads on a scalloped path similar to the one below without having to do it one bead at a time:

The solution, provided by Teejay was very simple, use the pen/pencil tool to make your stroke, then change the stroke settings to those shown below.  This makes perfect little beads on a path.

Then, the next question was, how can one apply a bitmap to the stroke so you can make gold beads.   Again, a simple solution by Teejay.  Select the Fill tool, then on the Context toolbar, set the Fill to Stroke. Then select Type\Bitmap on the context tool bar and navigate to the fill you want to use. The results are nicely filled beads.

One thing to note, if you want to change the bitmap, you must select Stroke each time because it always defaults back to Fill.

Here is a finished string of beads.  Works like a charm!   :thanks02:, Teejay!!
