AP006 - Filters - help - Majse
« on: December 24, 2016, 02:51:20 AM »
Merry Christmas to all

I am struggling with AP006. In the video he moves his picture around to fit the settings. When I try moving my pic, the box with settings disappear. So I have to put it on again but the first changes are added.

How can I put the new filter layer on - keep it on - and move my picture around?

I hope you understand. My wish for Santa is he gives me better English-skills  :xmas00:

Majse, I'm not sure what you mean.  I just watched the first part of the video and I couldn't figure out what you mean by "he moves his picture around"??   He uses more than  one image.  Can you point to the area in the video where you are having a problem?

i think i know what you mean majse
in the second image he uses the perspective filter and before he start messing around he moves the image in the workspace
the filter box stays where it is
I don't know how he did it  he must have some sort of shortcut or magic pointer BUT
this is the way i do it
you need the Navigator Panel... if you don't see it over on the right hand side go  View/studio/navigator

once you have ithe navigator panel   click it if it isn't active and you see a small replica of your workspace
left click inside the navigator image and drag and move  the move tool around
your image will move in the workspace  and your filter box will still be active
you can also zoom in and out in the navigator if you wish
it isnt the same i know
but its all i can think of.

well no bill not really
cos the man uses his move tool in the work area to drag his around
you can clearly see the mouse arrow in the workarea dragging it about
so this is a make do sort of answer until that tool tip shows up. Isnt it.

Opps!  yes, I think you are correct, but to move the image , you hold down on the space bar and you get the hand, move tool to move image around

It works the same way in Affinity Designer.  If you have a large image, you can press and hold the spacebar which makes the hand appear and you can drag your image all over the screen.  :xmas77:
