My clips in Asset...Grethe
« on: April 25, 2017, 04:26:22 AM »
The last few days I can't open my clips in Asset, AD crashes. It might be because I put in too large things/groups. I think it would help if I delet that part of Asset. The rest is working perfect!
Where do I find it in c-disk?

i dont know where they are or anything is in the  c/ disc i wish i did

when you click on your assets  to bring the panel up does it crash straight away

because you can delete whole categories without having to open the category via the panel menu

i chose the Keyboard category i opened the relevant menu and would choose delete

Once I click clips AD crashes. Look at the prtscreen.
I know the assets have to be some places, but I can't find it!

Grethe, that is frustrating.

The AD folders are in C Drive,  Program Files, Affinity but I've never had much luck finding what I am looking for.

Perhaps you need to lose this question in Affinity Forum. They are very helpful over there.....

Here's the shortcut to the Affinity Forum Grethe:  If you have not asked questions there you may have to create an account.

I came across this post regarding where the Assets are located. Might be of use.

You cannot access the assets the way we did in DrawPlus. They are all in one database, as are the brushes and every thing else.  Look under Apps data Roaming and find the Affinity folder. Select Designer 1.0.  You will see a list like the one attached.  As you can see, all of the assets are in one file. Same with the fills, brushes, etc.

Did you try to right-click on the unwanted asset?  That brings up a menu that lets you delete it.

S-H-I-T! Can't right click anything. I'm thinking....either to reinstall (download) or just wait for an update and hope that helps. I have not lost things, I still have them saved.

I think there is an option to 'repair'
If you do try to uninstall give the repair a go first..... i would.

That's true MaryLou. Thought the older post would indicate where the AF Assets & other files might be located.   I've saved your screenshot for future reference, thanks.
