Welcome back, Kate!!! It HAS been a long time. PI was discontinued 10 years ago! Hard to believe. As Sheryl said, we tried other platforms but just were not happy with them.
Affinity Designer is in its infancy. It is still the first version so we're getting in on the ground floor and will learn as it grows.
We have a workshop here where you can jump in and give it a try or you might want to try the Do Over Workshop. These are all projects that we did a year ago but have forgotten a lot of it so we're doing a refresher by re-doing the project. We're only on project 9 so you can easily catch up. There are also a bunch of tutorials a pircnet.com - beginner level and there are a zillion videos on the net. Most of the videos were written by MAC users because this program works on both platforms.
There are a lot of resources available to help you learn and of course, you always have help here. The hardest thing for most of us to do was, we kept trying to do it the way we did it in PI and it just doesn't work that way. You sort of have to put PI out of the mind to be successful with AD.
