It seems a lot of people, even those who are experienced are having trouble importing macros. This post will explain how to import macros.
First, there are two different extenders for macros. .
afmacro and
.afmacros. One has an "s" at the end of the extender, the other does not. The one
without the "s" is a single macro, whereas the one
with an "s" is group of macros.
To import a single macro, open a new document, then go to
View\Studio\Macro. Click the little icon in the upper right corner of the
Macro tab, navigate to the file on your hard drive,, then import. Once imported, you can add it to the library.
To import a group of macros, you do not need an open document. Go to
View\Studio\Library. Click on the icon in the upper right corner of the
Library tab, and select
Import Macros. Navigate to the file on your hard drive, then import.
