This is the result of an afternoon off playing with patterns in affinity Photo

wow i am totally blown away by this
I did have a teeny play with the patterns .... and I believe that it must be like a symbol template they use in photo to create the pattern effect
do you think so too or have I missed something..

I think it does seem like a symbol kind of.  Some of the things I have discovered so far in my playing  are that a pattern layer can be saved as an asset  and you can create a template with a pattern layer in it.  For example I  created a 600x600px document with a pattern layer that I  use for creating  patterns, the individual patterns I save as assets.
Also the patterns in the quilt were created with Filter Forge run as a plugin in photo.
