oh I know it took me about a minute to figure that out...that's why I came back saying I found.... it but I learned from the tutorial you can create a lot of other stuff with the tool with the heart with a leaf and angel and butterfly or hair.......thanks Teejay for the tutorial as well....

Shonna, you are with the release version, the Sculpt tool is only available in the Beta version.

MaryLou, I just tried it out, with the Beta version and the release version, and everything works fine.
You do not have to reinstall AD, you can close it, then open it by holding down the "Ctrl" key until the "Clear User Data" window appears.
Leave it as it appears, with only the first three options checked and press "Clear", AD will keep the brushes, assets, styles, swatches...
It is always wise to backup all these elements on an external support in order to be able to reinstall them in case of problems with AD or even a computer change.

Well, I tried it again, opened new document, then the first thing I did was attempt to select the heart. The program locks up at that point.  I  will probably have to reinstall it but I don't want to lose my installed brushes and such.

Shonna, go to Edit\Preferences and select Tools - change your node size there.

Thanks for trying it - I just tried again and same results.  There's something on my system that AD does not like! :thumb3:
