General Discussion & Introductions / Re: New Egg Cooker!
« Last post by MaryLou on February 14, 2018, 08:32:41 pm »
Tom, I've seen that one on Amazon  but I'm not that fond of microwaved stuff.  Still..  I might give it a try.

Teejay, you know you didn't misspell those words. We all know you brits talk funny!!  :yes03: :yes03:  I did try and look them up but no luck!!! :look: :look:

I found the perfect egg cooker!  I looked in my cupboards and found these little Corel Ware bowls. I have 6 of them but they've never been used because I don't have anything for which to use them!  They go with all my other dishes.  When I saw it, I knew that was the answer.  It's heavy enough to not tip over.   I fixed an egg tonight for dinner.  Here's how.  First, I wiped the inside of the little bowl with butter (I like that better than oil), then cracked an egg into the cup.  Put about 1-1/2 inches of water in a pan and brought it to a boil.  dropped the little egg and bowl into the hot water, turned the heat down to medium, and put a lid on the pan.  Set the timer for 4 minutes.

When it was done, it just slid out of the little dish.  Actually, I could have eaten it right from the cup.  However, 4 minutes was a bit too long.  Next time, will go for 3 minutes so the center is cooked but still a bit runny.  Wow..  I'm going to be eating a lot of eggs because this is so easy to make and I can do it one at a time!!   Here's my little egg bowl:

Jimmy, I'm not sure I'm understanding your question.  Do you simply want to fill the hair with a color?  If so, all you need to do is go to the colors (0r swatches) and pick a color.   That's what I did in the image below.  Selected the pen tool, clicked around the image, turned on the color and filled it with red.     Just curious, why so many little nodes?  The fewer the nodes, the smoother the lines.

Well, if that isn't the cutest little thing!!!    :yes03:  Floating Egg Pods!! Actually, it's not a true poached egg because poached eggs are cracked directly into the water.  I like that idea!  There must be some type of balancing going on to keep them from tipping over when the water boils.  Either that, or they are thick enough so the bubbles can't cause them to tip.  I'm going to look into that one!

Poached eggs spread out on the water and you could not use them to make sliced eggs, deviled eggs, and things like that.  I'm going to have to go through my cupboards!!  :jumper:

Hello, Stranger!   It HAS been a long time!   Nice to see you again.  Tried to view the Poet's Corner but it doesn't work for me.  I think the days of animated .gif files may start becoming a thing of the past.  I know the board can display them because the animated siggies all work just fine.   I even downloaded it and it wouldn't budge!

We sure had some fun times with animation over the years however, time marches on and the changes sneak up on us when we're not looking.

The problem could be in the animation because I know they work here.  Try attaching it again but make sure that it works first.
