After using the pen tool in AD how do you make it into a selection?
Thanks Jimmy

erm....  do you mean you want your line you have drawn  to be a shape...
if so
draw your line then go to the Layer menu along the top of AD
and from the dropdown list choose
'expand stroke'    that should turn your line into a shape  :jumper:
if this is not what you meant
explain the line to selection a bit more please.... :look:

Jimmy - the nodes. I looked it up some time ago but my English isn't good enough and I am not sure I understood myself

If you - in AD - click Help - Choose Help - Drawing curves and shapes - About Curves and shapes

You can read about the nodes there. I hope you know what I mean

there is a selection brush but WHY do you want it
if your hair is one line and joined just fill the shape with a colour via the colour panel  make sure you have the fill selected
and use the move tool if you want to move your shape

if you don't want to do this and you are set on the manky selection tool...hmphhhhhhh

go to the pixel persona and choose the 7th tool down
its the first brush you come to ...
if you make a selection remember to add a new layer or else  you will raster your vector layer...
do it and you will see  then you will add a layer lol

the reason for the different nodes is to show the different sort of 'bends' you get at the node

sharp, smart and smooth.    ta daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa... :stars:

The Manky selection tool keeps the fill inside the boundary

yes I get the paint only inside but why don't you want to fill it....
but never mind you know what you want and you have found it
did you also find the selection tool in your Pixel persona side of AD
and good for you for finding it in AP.
