General Discussion & Introductions / Re: Web Page Check

I gave the site a quick look too and I think it is marvelous!  I do have one question however....on the home page you mention "pets".  Does she do any services for cats at all?  If so maybe a kitty picture somewhere to let folks know.  I realize most often those services are dog related but every now and then cats might  be in need as well. If she does not wish to take care of cats or other type pets maybe a line somewhere to let folks know who might be interested that it is a dog only business.  Other than that I think it is fantastic!  I love the little doggy pics you added.  Well done MaryLou!!

Okay, I re-drew the paws in a smaller size - I think the jaggies are gone.  Added a few dogs, and made the map interactive.  The only thing I don't like is the contact page. That form is dorky.  It's not really a form because it opens up into your email program.   Maybe someone can test that out?  I may change it though.

i have found another way to do it grethe

copy the address of the page you want saving then
right click anywhere on your desktop and choose NEW
then choose   shortcut.

Another box will open  and you will see a tiny new shortcut on the desktop..
paste the copied url in the bar and then ok it ....
you should have a new edge shortcut to the page you saved ...

fingers crossed

Thank you all for checking and for the honest opinions!  They are very helpful.

Nicky, not sure why the paws are jagged.  I made them in AD and saved as a .png which looks perfectly fine.  But, I noticed that when I resized them, they did have a bit of a jaggie look.  I will remake them in the smaller size.  Thanks!!

Teejay, I made the titles over each section bold - that sets it off much better on the light background.  Good point!

Linda, great suggestion!  Yes, I can add a link to the map on google so they can see a larger size.

Sheryl, that page isn't completed yet - the big text is there to remind me!  I am going to put a short bio of the person there detailing her experience.    The picture of the lady's head on the first page will be replaced with her actual photo once I get it.  I think pictures give a more personal look to things.

I have added a few clipart dogs here and there but have not uploaded those updates yet.  Will work on that today.

Thanks again!!!   You guys are great.. and a big help!!!   Am definitely NOT going into the web page business...  it's too demanding!!  :girl1:

That last one seems to be the solution, but OOOH so much more to do saving. OK, I copy this in a Word and see if it works.
I really hope MS will look into this!

Looks great and I love the colors! One question I have, when it's done, if you click on the map will it take you to a bigger map?  I do that quite often when looking up a new place in case I need more info or driving directions.

Oops sorry, my mistake. Below is a work around that I've found on one of the window forums. Think choosing the pdf would be better as that can be imported in AD I believe.  Yes, it works...I saved a webpage using the tip below then opened it into AD and also in AP. So you should be able to save challenges and view them in AD / AP or PDF Viewer.

Hi there. Edge is a Modern WinRT Store app that will never work like the legacy Win32 browser or app. They are quite different in that they use virtual printers to save content.

Within an Edge page press Ctrl/P or press the 3 dots menu and choose print. A dialogue box opens so to choose a printer. There should be 2 virtual printers showing > XPS or PDF.
I've chosen XPS.
Press Print and a save as/to will appear.
You can then manipulate data in other programs/apps. Hope that helps.
