lucy my daughter said she will send her boyfriend in the loft to clean up ..and he agreed to do it too which is great.
but fixing the gap in the roofing tile is getting to be a pain
The council (my Landlord) says the ''small gap in the single roof tile will be fixed before the 17th of august''

i have had enough so i have got a local MP onto it.

from being an emergency to ..we cant be bothered to fix it ...was making my blood boil.

i have been up on the roof and have jammed into the hole an old jumper a scarf  and some large wood chippings ..its packed in tight

so at least i dont have to worry about another round of wasps bats or mice ... what a carry on.... (we have a bats in the area and they are protected )

I've been using a mouse for far too many years to switch over to touch.   I have tried but it's just so awkward!!   I have an ASUS  notebook but the lid doesn't come off.  It has a touch pad which I have turned off because I use a mini mouse with it.  It also has a touch screen.  My ASUS desktop also has a touch screen but I don't touch it because it leaves finger prints and chocolate smears. I also have an ASUS tablet that's touch only.  I seldom use it anymore. Don't have much use for it.  It has the android OS.  And of course, there's the cell phone but that's WAY too little to even think about drawing with it.    And lastly, I have my Wacom tablet.  I don't use it fro graphics though - but it's awesome for playing games!   :laugh1:

I still sit back and admire my updates.  Just the other day, I was remembering back to my childhood. We had no indoor plumbing so we went outside to the outhouse when we had to use the bathroom.  In the summer, we bathed in the creek that ran behind the house and in the winter, my mother put a big tub of water behind the heating stove so we could take a bath.

I look around now and I have 3 indoor sinks with running water and two toilets! I shake my head in wonder when I compare then and now. I get compliments every time someone different comes into my home. One lady who has been here many times still tells me how much she loves my place. That always makes me feel good.   I am even more proud because I did almost all of it myself.  It took a lot of years, but it was so worth it!  You'll love yours too once it's all done.  :praise53:

It sounds exciting, San!!  I've always THOUGHT I would like to go on a cruise but I know when it comes right down to it, I would not.  I would panic as soon as I was not able to see land somewhere.

So, you have a GREAT time...  and enjoy every second!!! :praise53: :praise53: :praise53:

I fully agree with Sheryl.  Make hubby take the hoover up there and vacuum up all those dead bodies.  They have to leave a putrid odor as they rot away.  I would hate the thought of them up there rotting while I was sitting down to dinner or something.  :laugh1:

Glad you got them gone though.  Hopefully, they didn't infiltrate any of the stuff you have stored.  :smiley01:

I am running out of steam Grethe.

That's what I am trying to visualise MaryLou, the end result. Can't wait to put my feet up and admire the updates. Seems a long way off right now but getting there.

Glad you got them done in Teejay. I don't blame you not wanting to go in the attic and deal with all those horrible bodies...yuk. Not sure I would leave them rot though...double yuk!. Maybe hoover them up and get rid of the bag that is if and when you get the stomach to do it.
