Exporting - extra pixels - SherylC
« on: April 19, 2017, 12:22:30 pm »
I'm copying Nicky's query here to see if anyone else has had the same issue as this issue isn't affecting my exporting size and not sure what to suggest.

Now came across a problem here in AP . When exporting had to change the size from 600x600 to a few pixels less otherwise it would export at 601x601 . Don't know where the extra pix comes from....

nicky have you used a outer shadow or a blur cos it may have bled over ....like it does in ad sometimes.

Yes I did Teejay but I do not think it is that because I selected the whole design  and Copied Then I open a new image 600x600 and pasted. Here it saved fine at 600x600 Did not changed the shadow... Ok I removed the shadow  and still it shows at 601x601.

Nicky, I've tried resaving at 600 pixels and it saved fine. Can't understand why this isn't so for you.

OK Nicky, I opened a 1000 x 1000 pixel page and copied and pasted my collage into it. I resized the collage to fit (page still at 1000 pixels) and exported. I changed the size to 600 x 600 pixels as screenshot and it saved as that, no extra pixels.

nicky  you know the background you have for your image  check the stroke on it  ...(even if you have it nulled in the colour )

see if you have a 0.5 stroke on ...that would give your extra pixel..... maybe...

Ah well that's because my resolution is high.  I was concentrating more on exporting and resizing to 600x600 pixels. It didn't add any extra ones.

There has to be an explanation as to why you are getting an extra pixel added. Could you perhaps open a plain document (no effects, borders or anything like that) and try exporting that as 600 pixels to see what happens? If it saves as 600 pixels then it could mean that something is added to your collage that might be causing the issue.

Keep on smiling! It will make people wonder what you're up to!! :)
