Title: Clipping to a pixel persona brush stroke
Post by: Linda R on January 01, 2019, 03:20:42 pm
I learned something today that I didn't know and was not sure if everyone else knew!
In Pixel persona I drew some brush strokes in black.  After I got working with it, I didn't want it black.  I drew a shape big enough to cover the stroke, made it the color I wanted and clipped it to the stroke and it changed!!

Thanks for the tip, Linda.

For information this also works for brushes in Draw Persona", but to keep the texture (the details inside the brush) you have to duplicate it, remove the mask from the copy and put its blend on " Multiply " (for example).

EDIT:

I know that the color can be applied directly with a brush, I simply transposed Linda's method to the Draw Persona.

Teejay, the method I propose is not really interesting since we can apply the color directly by brush in the Persona Draw but I wanted to play with what Linda proposed.

Good tip Rege, but I don't understand how to remove the mask.  I don't see one?

Linda, once the clipping is done, duplicate the whole thing. Select the copy, expand it in the layers panel, "Release mask" and delete the rectangle. Then adjust the brush mixture with the option that suits you.

Got it!  Took me awhile to find "release mask"!  Thanks Rege!
