AD Discussion / Re:Bad Treament at AD forum -

That seems to be the norm with customer service.  Same thing happened to me some years back.  I paid $125 for a program that I had been wanting for a long time.  A week after I bought it, they discontinued it.  I  contacted the company and was promptly dismissed.  I bought it, it was mine.  I bought ALL of the Serif programs.  We did get one good year out of DrawPlus but that was it.  We could have kept on using it but who wants to write tutorials and such for a dead-end program?  I guess they have to make money somehow!

Shonna, you may know this but....just in case.   Anything that you create in the beta can NOT be opened in the regular version.  Not sure why they did that but there must be a reason.

Yep, it's exactly as the picture frames in PagePlus.  Try this:

1.  Draw out a Star from the left tool bar (or a rectangle, or whatever you want.

2.  Right-click and convert to picture.  It will have cross lines in the center.

3.  With the image active, add a brush stroke  of your choice.

4.  Again, with the image active,  use the Place Image tool and navigate to a photo (or whatever), click to select it, click OK.  The image will automatically appear in your picture frame.

You can now go to the Layers panel, select the picture and edit it, resize it, etc.

That's it!  I use this feature a lot in PagePlus.. is very handy!

I haven't checked into how to create picture frames that can be saved for future use but...  you could make cool frames and add them to the Assets panel.  This is a really nice little toy!!

I haven't checked it out yet but I would guess it's pretty much like the picture frames in PagePlus and the other Serif programs.  You drag out a frame and can pop a picture in it and it will fit perfectly?  Gotta go take a looks!! :thumb3:

Sorry to hear about your experience on the AD forum Rege. A little bit of respect and tolerance goes a long way and you certainly didn't get that.

I purchased AD from Serif only to find a week or two later they had ditched the programme. Not only did I waste my money but wasted my time learnng a programme that was destined for the archives. When I contacted Serif to ask about what I thought was an oversight on their part...i.e. taking money from customers in the knowledge that this programme was being ditched, I was unlucky to get the most abrupt and rude person possible. Careless attitudes when it comes to customer service is not good for business!.

So to sum up, either we got the same horrid agent or there are more than one horrid agents working at Serif!

Same here. Dental charges are through the roof......well known fact that dentists are on the make, it's ridiculous.

I recently had two Crowns on the NHS which cost me 200 and the other Private which cost me 350 (this tooth is near the front of my mouth so more visible). So there are charges to be paid even on the NHS, nothing is free here.

A friend of mine, who is married to a dentist, has just had a brand new top of the range Mercedez Benz bought for her by her husband as a birthday gift!. Gps and Dentists make mega's insane.

Politicians in my book have gone down the pan, greedy, self important and out of touch. It's a  dire situation here regarding Brexit. There is talk by our PM that we may not leave the EU despite the peoples vote to leave. If that is the case then it is the end of democracy.

No it isn't possible to amend a birth certificate unless there are special circumstances.

I feel the opposite. I liked my name because it was different. i.e spelled with an S rather than the typical C but as time went on my name become more of an inconvenience to me as I constantly had to correct misspellings and mispronounciations. When I give my name I have to ensure I spell it.
