Affinity Photo crop tool

It does not work, You pull in the corner or sides you apply and you see a portion of the image . Except that when you save it, it  is the whole image...

Nicky, I didn't have that problem.  How are you saving it?
Find a need and fill it!  . . .

Nicky, do you click "Apply" after you have cropped?

I can but when I export as jpg - I can't open in PSP as jpg. Weird

Well this morning it is working! Go figure!!! And yes I am using Apply...
The strange thing is after you cropped, and you select the new size image, the box around should be the size of the new image. It is not
It show the original image size and when you save you choose The whole document... very different than Affinity Designer.

Nicky, I think the difference is, in Photo, it crops the image and not the background.  I wish they did it the same in both, would help with the learnig curve.
Find a need and fill it!  . . .

I don't know with AD but is really different from PSP, I think. In AP I have to "move" the crop before apply - Am I correct? Or can it be done otherwise?

I set the size on the crop and then apply. Tried on this photo of my bonus great-grandson....(I played with the colour on the glass yesterday  :chickdance: )
