Foil effect in Affinity Photo

ohhhhhhhh i watched the video once and in the morning i will watch and play along this looks like a really nice foil-y texture

wow ... i mean wow yeeeeeeeeeeeehaw what an exciting little gem this is i have BIG plans for this one
different colours and textures the lighting tip is AWESOME

i found my AP is not working like your AP

i had a big problem getting the gradient onto the Perlin noise pixel layer
in the end i did it by adding the gradient to the pixel layer then adding the noise ... no biggie but i am slow and it took my 2 decades to think about doing it this way lol

i am very proud to show my foil
this is the very first attempt and i went a little too heavy on the creases BUT this is the first of many
i think i am going to make tiles of foils so i can use them in AD ...

Very nice!  I love it!   Yes I found that you want the grunge brush for the creases to barely shoe before  applying  the lighting.  Foil tiles for use in designer is an awesome  idea.  I haven't tried this in the latest beta so that could possibly be the difference with the gradient.

I'm glad that this little tutorial is proving useful :)   I hope to post more tutorials on my youtube channel for Affinity programs in time.
