STYLES
« on: March 20, 2018, 08:01:04 AM »
I've read the info for styles in the forum but it really didn't help with my problem. I made a psd file with several styles on separate layers. opened it in AD an selected all and did the "add style from selection" I had a new category already set and renamed it to the name I wanted. now the problem I have is that it shows the name of each style but no style picture to see what it looks like, Help please.

ok this is a bit tricky but it works
open your pdf PSD and on the top layer (layer 7 in this case )
draw an ellipse  and it doesn't matter what colour or shape.

then  right click on layer 7 and choose copy
next click your ellipse to select it
then on the top main menu go Edit/Paste Style

now right click on the ellipse and choose Create style

do these steps to each layer

you can use the same ellipse to fill over and over
and if you hide each layer you do as you go it should make it a bit easier keeping track
if you have trouble let me know .

I am confused.   Are we talking about a .psd file (Eileen) or a .pdf file (Teejay).  It does make a difference.

OH... why would anyone save files in .psd format?  That's a Photo Shop extender.  I tried the file and couldn't get it to create a style either.  Even if it did, they would not have been good because each one has about a 10 pixel white edge around them.  I liked the colors though.

Keep on smiling! It will make people wonder what you're up to!! :)
