New Posts button - SherylC

Is it just me or is the check for New Posts button (and others) been removed for good?

Which "new post" button are you talking about? There are several areas where one can see new posts.  I haven't made any  changes to the system in quite a while so nothing has been removed.

SherylC, nothing wrong here. I was thinking - have you clicked next to "Welcome" in the top right. On the little arrow - maybe you have "closed" the area with the buttons

The ones at the top of the page MaryLou. They are usually visible when I log on but for some reason they weren't on this occasion.  I clicked on the arrow next to the Welcome as Majse mentioned and there they were.

LOL!  I would never have seen that button because I always have that area "closed" .  Glad you got it solved!!

I didn't know it was there either! lol. Guess it was always open.

I probably keep it closed because the index page tells me if there are any new posts in that board and once opened, a little "new" button tells me whih posts are new.    The thing I miss out on by keeping it closed are the little announcements.

Ah I see. Guess that's for admins only.

Sheryl, that should be visible to everyone, not just admins.  Maybe we're not thinking the same things.  The images below show the index with the bright yellowish "P" which means new messages are present in that thread. 

The second one shows the second index after you open the thread and there is a green "New" next to every message that you have not read.

The third image shows a little green smiley face on the far left. That indicates that you have replied to the post.
