My entire left side bothers me when I go to bed.  Seems like when I relax, the body wants to play games! I use the creme for fast relief because it takes pills 10+ minutes to work. I take two hydrocodone tablets which really knocks the pain out, then I can sleep.  The government here has made it really difficult to get the hydrocodone though.  My doctor is required to renew my prescription each month and cannot prescribe more than one month's supply.  I used to get all my meds via mail from the pharmacy but they can no longer mail hydrocodone so I have to pick it up in person.  I am also required to see my doctor every 6 months and to take a urine test.  That gets to be expensive because my plan doesn't cover it.  Then, my doctor has to enter it into a federal database that I came in for my visit and my urine is testing positive - meaning that I am taking the meds.  If I do not go to pick up that prescription every single month, they will make me wait an extra month before I can renew it.   If I were a druggie, I could get free needles, free health care, free rehab and everything else.  It really ticks me off how seniors are treated.  Not much I can do about it though.  Too old for fighting causes. :smiley01:

OMG, you have a lot to do MaryLou.  Well no updates with my shoulder....still waiting for Hospital to get back to me with a physio appointment.  Normally I would pay and see a private consultant but reluctant as so many people who have suffered with the same problem has found physio unhelpful and went on to have the operation to fix it. I fear this will be the only outcome for me too.

I can't believe how long they make you wait for therapy!  I hope you get some relief soon!  I can't imagine what you are going thru!

Thanks Linda. I have an awful feeling that due to the friction of the tendon rubbing against bone the tendon has torn which is why the pain is worsening.  GP is ringing me on Monday to discuss further. I think a scan is crucial.

Keep on smiling! It will make people wonder what you're up to!! :)
