Hmm...had to try again in Designer. And I found out that when you choose/mark your brush, you can click...just once... that and you get the option general etc. Normally at least I have got these option by dubleclick the brush.
Same way in Photo.

thanks grethe
i have just tried it after a stroke and it only opens the brush panel...
it seems really silly to just have a whole menu button to do the same job as a double click

maybe its supposed to do the same thing as in the assets    that menu allows you to copy to ...move up move down  any file
'' maybe...
i have asked on the affinity forum ..what does it do....am being ignored at the moment...lol
i will start stamping around up there soon lol

I totally agree, Teejay! I will never use it as it is now. Perhaps they have plans for it....
Keep stamping up there!  :elmo:

Yesterday as I was looking around in vain to try and organize my brushes I found that it only worked to open the brush edit panel, and then from time to time it didn't seem to even do that.  I mean , I would select a brush stroke and then tap that little icon and sometimes the brush edit would open.....and sometimes it did not. Of course I always seem to take the blame when something like that happens....meaning I tell myself...you didn't really click it...or you didn't click it hard enough....or something.

You have been assigned this mountain to show others it can be moved.

When I just clicked on it, nothing happened. But when I selected and used the Wax Pastel brush, it became active, and when I clicked on it then I got "Brush-Editing [Wax Pastel]".

Added.

I went back just now and chose several other brushes. When I then clicked on it I got Brush-Editing for each of them. I didn't have any problem.

I think we agree it has no purpose at all!  :laugh2: :laugh2:

It sounded like you were all having so much fun with this button I had to go give it a try!   :laugh2:
I found that when I changed brush category's and selected the brush, the little button would gray out and not work.  Then if I chose a different brush it would "light" back up and a click would bring up the edit box.
In the end, I think Grethe is correct, it has no real purpose at all!   :no-no: :laugh8:

I tried it and I agree it does not have much purpose at all as you only have to double click on the brush to get to edit the brush.
