Glyphs

help  i need lots of help

if you go to the main menu and choose text/ show glyph browser
then choose the text tool and pick a font
the glyphs in the glyphs browser show up
there is an option to make them much larger too
my question is this

how do i write the glyphs
i see th U+ some numbers ...is that what i must press ...when i press the U+ whatever i get a long nasty mess of uss and whatever i am trying to hold down...how do i use that code to get the glyph

omg i answered it myself
all you have to do is once you have your text tool working
double click any glyph in your glyph browser to apply it to your text

Yep...you got it.  Happy you found it.....be prepared to do absolutely nothing else  when you start playing with applying them.  I have wasted a couple of days just fooling around with it.  Fascinating to say the least.

Well, now I have to go play with this!!  Spent yesterday playing with typography and ended up creating PDF's of all my fonts to see if I can manage them better.  Fonts are so fun!
